Riera is built by Saeid Masoumzadeh, an entrepreneur and AI engineer, an Entrepreneur First Alumni, with a strong academic and practical background in artificial intelligence.

Saeid holds a PhD in Computer Science, where his research focused on reinforcement learning and decision-making systems. His work explored how intelligent agents learn, adapt, and optimise behaviour in complex, dynamic environments — foundations that strongly inform Riera's architecture today.

Alongside research, Saeid has extensive experience designing and delivering production-grade AI systems, including large-scale machine learning platforms and applied AI solutions. His work bridges rigorous academic thinking with hands-on engineering execution.
