4. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers

To provide Riera's intelligent features, certain user-generated content (such as notes, tasks, reminders, goals, and optional voice inputs) may be securely transmitted to trusted AI infrastructure providers for processing.

These providers currently include:

• OpenAI, L.L.C.
• Anthropic PBC
• Google LLC

These providers process data solely to generate AI-powered responses and functionality within Riera.

• We transmit only the minimum content necessary to generate responses.
• Data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption.
• These providers are contractually required to maintain privacy and security protections equal to or greater than those required under applicable data protection laws, including UK-GDPR and EU-GDPR.
• We do not sell user data and we do not permit these providers to use your data for advertising or independent marketing purposes.
• Where required, we obtain your consent before transmitting user-generated content to these providers.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK-GDPR and EU-GDPR, we process data based on:

• Contract — to provide the core functionality you expect when using Riera.
• Legitimate Interests — to improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Consent — where required, including optional analytics and AI processing.

6. Data Storage & Retention

We store your data only as long as necessary to provide the service.

When you delete your content or account, we remove it from active systems.

Backup data may be retained briefly for security purposes and is automatically purged.
