1. About Riera

Riera helps you capture, organise, and enrich your thoughts, ideas, reminders, and goals through a private and intelligent workspace.

The App provides AI-generated suggestions and insights to support your thinking — these are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.

By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account & Security

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your device secure
• Ensuring only you have access to your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your data

We are not liable for unauthorised access caused by your device, settings, or negligence.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the App
• Upload content that is illegal, threatening, defamatory, or harmful
• Disrupt, damage, or interfere with the App's operation
• Misuse AI features (e.g., to generate harmful content)

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules.

5. AI-Generated Content

Riera uses artificial intelligence to provide:

• Summaries
• Suggestions
• Insights
• Interpretations
• Structured outputs

You understand and agree that:

• AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or mistaken
• AI output should not be considered professional, medical, financial, or legal advice
• You are responsible for verifying any important information
• We are not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated content

6. User Content

"User Content" refers to the notes, ideas, reminders, goals, and other information you create within the App.

• You retain full ownership of your User Content.
• By using the App, you grant us a limited, revocable licence to process your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the App's features.
• We do not sell, share, or monetise your content with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
• You may export or delete your data at any time through the App's Settings.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Riera offers both free and premium subscription plans.

Subscription Plans

Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.

Payment

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• By subscribing, you authorise Apple to charge your payment method.

Automatic Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.

Free Trials

• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing & Cancelling Your Subscription

• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until then.

Refunds

• All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.
• MindPlus Labs Ltd does not process payments or issue refunds directly.

Price Changes

• We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at your next renewal, and you will be notified in advance.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to the App — including its design, features, graphics, branding, and underlying technology — belongs to MindPlus Labs Ltd.

You may not:

• Copy, distribute, resell, or modify the App
• Reverse-engineer or extract source code
• Use our trademarks without written permission

9. Updates, Changes & Availability

We may:

• Add or remove features
• Update the App
• Modify these Terms
• Suspend or discontinue parts of the service

We aim to keep the App reliable, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service
• That the App will work on all devices
• That data will never be lost

You are responsible for keeping your device updated.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Data loss
• Reliance on AI-generated responses
• Interruptions, errors, or bugs
• Issues resulting from third-party service providers

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you are entitled to under consumer protection laws.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on trusted third parties for:

• Hosting
• Analytics
• AI processing
• Crash reporting
• Subscription payments (via Apple)

These providers only receive the minimum data required to operate the service.

We are not responsible for the availability or behaviour of these third-party services, but we ensure they meet strong privacy and security standards.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• You misuse the App
• The App is discontinued
• Such action is required by law

You may stop using the App at any time.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

We encourage you to contact us first at support@mindpluslabs.ai to resolve any concerns informally.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
